6aming's Mitch steps into the world of Beyond: Two Souls. Does he discover a worthy experience or something to pass by?
I've given up on putting any more effort towards talking about this game lol.(After this I am done.) The reviews are so mixed but it seems like in general people think its "okay" if that. The story line is just awkwardly executed and I think that sort of throws us all off. But at the end of the day if you are truly curious, go out buy and play the game all the way through. See for yourself (for those who have yet to play it). My opinion changed the more I played and after seeing multiple ending I definitely liked this game. So in conclusion, to each their own. PS I appreciate QD's effort at trying to pull this game off. They took a risk and tried something different so I applaud them for doing so. I hope they learn from this game and apply that to whatever upcoming project they will have in store for us.
I did not find anything awkward about the excution of the storyline but that me I liked the way it flowed how you felt differently about people as the game went on and remember there is different scences and consequences depending on your choices or messing controls up at key points.
***SPOILER ALERT*** Did you notice how those bastards put their sequences together? For example, when Jodie finds out that the CIA used her to kill the government and not terrorists, the next sequence they play is where you have a date with Ryan. That actually negatively impacted my reaction to Ryan. I trashed the place with Aiden. I know it wasn't his fault but you feel betrayed nonetheless.
Sorry reply so late. Yea I realised that at time but i could c how jodie reacted that was all past so allowed them to get close. I liked that it done that so I forgive and made jodie so happy just for you know the rest to happen and feel grr again about ryan. Also if you allow dinner to go well there is two possible endings of this that i know of. Depending on your choices in a earlier section. It all opinion and I loved the game and enjoying second playthrough playing differently.First time round i got too hurt in part and it didnt let me finish a section so made sure i got through it this time.
I didn't think the story was awkward. jumping around in time allowed QD to reveal plot information in the manner most suited to generate the player's emotional reaction. Also, this game is great, and I felt it accomplished its goals, but the audience for a game like this is outside of the mainstream or traditional games. If anything, I think the mixed reviews come from disagreements among critics on how exactly to rate this game.
