IGN Review: Takedown Red Sabre

This is not the next great hardcore tactical shooter. In fact, IGN doesnt know why Takedown: Red Sabre was released in its current state at all. A spark of life glimmers at its core, but it’s overshadowed by a broken interface, poor squad combat, senseless enemies, and some of the most generic shooter environments in recent memory.

The story is too old to be commented.

I was SO looking forward to this game. : /
I guess I'll wait for more reviews before I pass judgment.

All the reviews out there that say this game is absolutely terrible aren't enough for you?

Well this one IGN review said that the game play at least was great. If you're someone who doesn't care about crappy infrastructures then the game would seem more appealing. Stop looking at just the number score -.-

Typically buggy releases mean end-of-line for startups. =(

Hopefully these guys can bounce back, as long as the loudmouth SOCOM fanboys/armchair game designers can stay off their backs long enough.

Too bad. the preview reviews had all the same sentiments though: the game was gonna be good. I guess they did not take the time to polish the game further after all. What we saw in Pax was the game itself I guess.
