Legend of the Lancer asking $215,000 funding for PS4 version

With an initial funding goal of $35k, Gorilla Press Games is setting the goal for the PS4 version $140k higher than the PS3, Wii U, and Vita version goal. They're not stupid. They know they can ride the wave of PS4 and - just by mentioning it - they can grow that funding pot substantially.

Seems like there is a new game announced for PS4 on an increasingly regular basis these past few weeks. I certainly can't see any games drought in the first 12 months like you get with most console launches. :)

Agreed. While I think most people would say they chose PS4 or will choose PS4 because of specs, price, graphics, etc; I for one throw Indie support and development into the conversation almost exclusively (almost) I know I may be in the minority, but for me, Sony's shown me that supporting indies will bring great games, affordability, great art styles, choice, and much needed competition into the console realm. Even large/r studios are trying to jump onto this by doing crowd funding (which IMO is a a little shameful) But either way you look at it, it is showing that PS4 gamers are willing to pay for games THEY want and is really setting the bar higher for 3rd party developers that are content with pushing out gimped games. Hopefully these 3rd party devs will see that, and create games to push each system. My 2cents.
