On this week's edition of Friday Night WrestleCast, we share our candid thoughts on the best and worst wrestling video games of all time.
GM Mode is one feature that definitely needs to return to the current WWE wrestling games especially given the brand split between Raw and Smackdown. 2K has plenty of other classic wrestling games to look to for ideas but the question of whether or not they will make changes still remains unanswered.
I really miss GM mode. Smackdown 1 and 2 are my all time favourites though. Probably because of nostalgia of the wrestlers in those games.
Big fan of World Tour and Revenge. Day of Reckoning was also another stellar one as it played a lot like the N64 games and had a great CAW mode. I made some wild creations in that game.
Comparing the face textures of WWE Games character models through the years... featuring John Cena, Booker T, JBL, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Mr. McMahon and many more... evolution?
I hope that was the last generation version of 2k15 if it is I'm canceling my pre order.
Lately WWE video game seem to have lost their creativity. Can the newest edition to the franchise save it?
I haven't bought a wrestling game since WWF Smackdown when the Rock and Stone Cold were all the talk at school lol.
Thinking of picking this up though if I can jump off ladders, fight in parking lots and do cage matches.
You could do that stuff in virtually every WWE title. Don't expect the parking lot to be exciting in WWE '12 or '13 though. Predetermined moves for the match type and the same animation around nearly every inch of the parking garage destroy that.
I don't mind the game being similar to the old games because I haven't bought a wrestling game since WWF Smackdown on the PS1.That predetermined moves in the parking lot thing sounds crap, I want one where you can move around like the old games.
Which game would you recommend?
I want one with the 90s stars like The Rock,Steve Austin,Kane and the Undertaker.
I heard wwe smackdown vs raw 2011 is a good one?
Thanks for the comments. I personally loved Smackdown vs Raw 2008 because of the 24/7 mode. It was much more in-depth and fun. I really don't know why they got rid of it.
HarryMasonHerpderp I recommend here comes the pain that is a good one you got alot of navigation in the backstage are and there are quite a few good superstarts on there including the rock n stone cold.

IMO the worst of the smackdown games. The whole class system, while making sense on paper, just did not work out in gameplay form. It was after 08 that the series started progressively getting better
