Six Details about DUST 514: Uprising 1.5 from the Creative Director [SideQuesting Interview]

Steven Strom of SideQuesting writes:

"We had a chance to ask Atli Már Sveinsson, the creative director on DUST 514, about several of the changes coming to the game, including the additions of a squad finder and the perils of alienating older players for new." (DUST 514, PS3)

No one really talks about this game but I had a friend at work tell me it's pretty cool recently. I might have to check this out soon.

Does it have an annoying/unfavorable pay model? No one really brings this up in F2P topics :/

Some people always shout "pay to win" no matter how the game is set up but in Dust you really can't find anything that you can buy with money that you can't get just by playing the game for free. Every AUR (real money) item has an equivalent ISK (game currency) item.

It's a complex game so it might be a bit daunting or fascinating if you like that. They're still expanding on depth, more game modes and connection to EVE are needed but what is there is really deep.
