This episode of the DualShockers PlayStation 4 & Xbox One Buyer’s Guide illustrates the launch titles for both consoles.
Please remind me how xbone has a better launch again. Once you add in war thunder, the plethora of Indies it is no competition. Plus dcuo is not exclusive to ps4
its exclusive to pc and ps4.
By that logic war thunder plus a whole lot of Indies should be there
You do know that Sony Online Entertainment makes DCUO right?
DCUO is on the PS3 already. Havent really looked into this one but does anyone know if it will be cross platform between PS3 and PS4? on topic, both the Ps4 and XB1 have 3 new games in their respected list. PS4: Driveclub, Knack and Warframe are all new. Killzone is a continuation of the series and DCUO is an existing game. There are obviously many more games not listed. this is just going off the dual shockers list. XB1: Lococycle, Killer instinct (new to xbox) and Ryse are new. Dead rising 3 and Forza 5 are continuations of the series. Of the multiplayer games...only lego marvel superheroes and watch dogs are really new. Everything else is a continuation of an existing series.
That's true, a ton of indie games are currently only slated for release on PC and PS4 (some PS3 as well). Some of them aren't going to the Xbox but it's hard to figure out when a lot of the indies guys are just making the choice as they go. Some are complete against MS for things that happened in the past, some are just really happy with Sony and some just only have the time to do the PS versions at the moment so Sony gets a bit of timed exclusivity. Figuring out which is which would require a bit of research as wiki isn't the absolute answer when it comes to indie developers. This list is missing pretty much all the the PSN titles, XBLA titles and indie titles, with the exception of Warframe. I'm a bit confused why Warframe gets mentioned but no others :/
SOE makes a lot of games on both PS and PC. Planetside 2, DCUO, a new everquest. But yeah, there's a lot more games coming on PS4 than Xbox 1. There's no denying that. A lot of the bigger titles on both consoles aren't coming till 2014.
@hellzsupernova I'd say that video games are completely subjective. Anyone could argue how the Xbox One's lineup is better just as you could argue the same point about the PS4's lineup. You'd both be right. Luckily both consoles have great lineups so you really can't lose. Next month can't come sooner lol
Both have great launch lineups. Who has the better is up to one's taste. I prefer the X1 launch so i'm getting that this year and I'll get the PS4 next year when Infamous comes out but either way, no matter which console you choose, you should have a great time for the rest of the year once they come out.
I think folks are saying MS' day one launch line up is better, because it has more proven franchises with Killer Instinct, Forza, Dead Rising 3. The only proven franchise Ps4 has on day one is Killzone, which to date, hasn't really reached the top off the fps totem pole in terms of critical success. The rest of the ps4 lineup is largely PC and PSN games, which while nice, can be had elsewhere and really don't showcase the potential of the hardware. I think PS4 has the better year one line up (based on announcements so far), but day one, xbox has more must haves.
Indies no thx! I have my ipad and phones for little games to pass the time, when am at home I wanna play proper games.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I don't know where the love for indies comes from and why its so important they are championed. Journey is the only indie I enjoyed and I played it once and will never again. I gave BF3 hundreds of hours. There isn't a single next gen indie that would make me want to buy a console for it yet. I'm not sure I'd buy them even if they were available on current gen consoles.

The name of their site sounds like a PS blog... that's a bad name if they want us to think they're not fanboys. That's like "Wiimotes.com" comparing the Wii U versus the other two systems; I wouldn't take that seriously.
Let's not argue about systems. Games are art, and in that sense arguing which games are better is like arguing which 20th century author is best. Let's just enjoy the fact that gaming will get better significantly over the next few years.
I'm switching my preorder for Watch Dogs to Injustice. And I'm canceling my BF4 preorder for a controller or some other game. Killzone stays though, lol. Anyway, both lineups are good, and cater to their respective audiences/buyers.
These launch games aren't going to mean a whole lot next year when the more exciting games start landing. That said, there's some pretty decent stuff to play till the must haves arrive.
Regardless of your preferred system, it going to be a great year for gaming in general !!!
Regardless of what you play, you will be looked down on and considered the equivalent to Stalin for having a different preference.
