Fan Versus Artist: Fandoms Do Not Own IP

Much like most of the human life on the planet, I find myself enjoying things. There’s music I come back to, certain authors I enjoy, and definitely developers whose work I appreciate–be it due to their specific franchises or their general style. However, unlike many of the people who share this inexplicable trait of liking stuff, I seem to be missing the circuit that informs me of my ownership of the things I like.
