I disagree with your pick on Mortal Kombat. I think it's one of the better video game movies out there. Perhaps you meant Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Granted, I haven't seen the movie, but after watching the Nostalgia Critic's review of it, I don't think I need to.

While I love a good "B" movie just for the sheer enjoyment of how absurd it is, Mortal Kombat falls short of being a truly good film. Granted, I've seen it more times than I will admit here but it still isn't a truly "good" movie. It comes across more as a comedy or satire than I think it intends to.
Your decision not to see Annihilation by the way, spot on. Don't subject yourself to that sort of torture.
