Next-Gen Gamers – LEGO City: Undercover

Chaz at Twinfinite writes:

SO. The last time I did one of these, I looked at a terrible game that my kid loves. As much fun as it is to do that, I thought this time I’d look at something we enjoyed together, so I’m here to talk about the latest of the generally-pretty-great LEGO games by Traveller’s Tales Games, LEGO City: Undercover (Wii U). Our family has been playing a number of the LEGO games for some time now, from the Star Wars and Indiana Jones games through the more recent LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, and we’re big fans for a number of reasons.

Fantastic game, aside from the lack of local multiplayer the only other drawback were the abnormally long load times. They happened far too often in my opinion.

Regardless, a great game for Wii U owners.

You know, that's a good point, too - I didn't pay much attention to those, since it was mostly the kid playing through and I'd pick up in the middle of things for a while, but now that you mention it, there were definitely some long ones -- even just going in or out of the police station could be tiresome.

Best game on the Wii U. I still play it all the time. I would have added a few things, but overall...it's a great game. The writing is top-notch, as well.

One of the few games out I'm interested in on the WiiU but not enough to buy the system yet. Too bad it wasn't on PC or coming to other consoles. Sales would be much better. Maybe after a new next gen Zelda comes out or Metroid I'll grab a WiiU.

Why didn't it come out for PS3/360/PC? It's a great game that deserves better sales.
