EB Games Expo: Forza Motorsport 5 Impressions | AnalogAddiction

Analog Addiction writes, "To show off the graphical capabilities of new consoles, developers often head straight for a racing game. Forza Motorsport 5 is Microsoft’s choice, and it did not disappoint." (Forza Motorsport 5, Next-Gen, Xbox One)

Rumble triggers! The most prominent and consistent impression is an "indescribable" one. Can't wait to feel it between my fingers.

Me the same

Felt the Xbox One controller for the first time this past Friday at the Xbox Tour in Philly. First thing I hopped on was Forza 5 and the rumble triggers will be a must from here on out. The controller overall was the best controller I ever felt and tops 360's version which was my previous champ. They improved it in every way EXCEPT the actual sticks feel looser to me...much like PS3's sticks, but not as much. Never liked the loosness of the PS3 gamepad.

Rumble felt entirely the same as 360's and the control pad felt the same with only the L1/L2 and R1/R2 triggers being better evolved.

Graphics is an achievement compared to Forza4/Horizon but only as good as GT5.

The interior/cabin texture in GT5 is also better/natural looking than Forza5.

Thank goodness their booth was easier to access with a lot of XBox ONE consoles + kinect available for gamers' as compared to the upstairs booth of PS4.

'Graphics only as good as GT5'

A trip to Specsavers for you my friend.

Whilst I respect your opinion I couldn't disagree more on the GT5 comparisons. The native 1080p render of F5 has considerably more track and environmental detail. Granted the Laguna Seca demo doesn't really have the most interesting track but it's still obviously well ahead of any other console game. To me it felt like a PC game in terms of the image crispness. The Laguna Seca recreation actually looks very similar to the one in videos of project cars. I'm not even going to talk about the interior renders as that's not worth debating.

It's good that you got to try out the console. At least your viewpoint is based on actual use rather than many of the comments you see on here where the contributor hasn't even used the machine.

Did you get to try out RYSE or Battlefield?

That's interesting...and the exact opposite of my experience at the Xbox Tour in Philly. Forza 5's graphically easily best any previous racing game released thus far. Everything from the cockpit, to the trackside detail was head and shoulders above GT5. The glare effects were out of this world.
