'Shadowrun Returns' Review - A Kickstarter-Fueled Cyberpunk Classic | Touch Arcade

Shadowrun Returns [$9.99 (HD)] isn't a simple rehash of the 16-Bit console games that founded the universe it lives in. It's the same brand new adventure that was scripted and coded from the ground up for PC and Mac and it is, quite simply, a masterpiece. (Android, iPad, Shadowrun Returns) 4.5/5

kickstarter: where people donate to make someone else rich.

I wish these people would do it the old fashioned way. Where when people INVEST in them to give them the money to make it, then the people that INVESTED see a return in the money they INVESTED.

Agree, investors should always see a return.

"Investing" $20 and getting a game is a reasonable return. Sure, Kickstarter is full of over-moneyed romantic dickheads who think they're patrons of the arts rather than just placing a risky pre-order, but they just make it cheaper for everyone else.

@kwyjibo
investing $20 and getting a game? You mean donating $20, getting a small cheap trinket, then having to purchase the game (if they finish it!). This isn't investing. It's a person begging for money to make something that costs money. When it's used for making a game you're not even paying for developing costs. You're paying a person the salary that a paid developer would receive. If they changed it to a TRUE investing system then I would support it. As it is, it's a tool for middle class/upper class people to get rich on other peoples money.
