Nintendo’s Most Anticipated 3DS and Wii U Titles Receive Release Dates

As many avid gamers strap on their wrist guards and make due with their soon-to-be dwindling wallets in preparation for the annual holiday season, Nintendo has decided to deliver an early Christmas gift this year by revealing the launch dates to some of their most anticipated games. (3DS, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Party: Island Tour, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros., The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Wii U)

I was disappointed about that as well. If I hear anything about a more specific date for Super Smash Bros, I'll try to update you about it as soon as I can.

Unfortunately, the information I received provided no new information pertaining to the newest entry in the Mario Kart series. I'm interested in hearing more about it as well, so I'll try to find more coverage on that game in the near future. Besides the new Mario Kart game though, are you looking forward to anything else? Super Smash Bros is one of the games I'm anticipating the most because it is easily one of the greatest party games available. Sharing a couch with some close friends and pounding the snot out of each other utilizing iconic Nintendo characters like Mario, Link, and Kirby is just plain fun.

If I remember correctly, they said Spring 2014 for Mario Kart. Around April I believe.

Here is an update for Donkey Kong Country.

Originally slated for November, the game will now be out in February in both the US and Europe. "We need a little more time for development of this title," said Iwata in the presentation.

I appreciate the update and I've looked into it a bit (just to make sure), and it seems like you are correct. :) I'll make sure to update the article itself immediately.

You didn't think to check the accuracy of the dates prior to publishing? With that level of diligence you'll soon be writing for IGN.
