Las Vegas is an odd city. It's an otherworldly place, a place where the rules of real life seem not to apply. Over the course of its history, the city has been an underworld haven, a grimy center of sleaze and cheap eats, and a family vacation spot. Today it's an increasingly refined resort destination, full of high-end hotels and restaurants run by world-famous chefs. The city's reinvented itself so many times that it's gone beyond self-caricature, into a realm of excess so over-the-top as to be almost transcendent.
What a great setting for a videogame.
