The Beauty of Dead Space 3: Video Game Lighting Perfected

EntertainmentBuddha.com's Matt Heywood writers, "The next installment in our “Beauty of Dead Space 3” series focuses on its excellent use of lighting to bring the game world to life. The lighting effect is crucial in a game like Dead Space 3. Depending on how Visceral uses the effect can make or break the horrific atmosphere, so its importance to the survival horror genre is paramount, and one reason the Dead Space franchise shines.

Luckily the lighting effects in Dead Space 3 are some of the best I’ve ever seen, and they had such an impact on my game play experience; I wanted to show off some of the better lit sections of the game. Feel free to check out the short montage after the break. You’ve been thinking Dead Space would make for a great science fiction film" (Dead Space 3, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
