SP:GTA Online is a weird beast, a game mode attached to Grand Theft Auto V that’s been promoted by the development team at Rockstar as an extension of the recently launched open world game that can deliver a set of entirely new experiences.
cant rate what u cant play.....jus sayin.....i cant even start the first racing mission...smh but hey a 8
Unless they were playing a beta of it before the release, not many people can actually get in to play. Might deserve an 8 or higher later on, but when you can't even log in...
exactly literally too soon for this review to be taken seriously....points should be knocked off for no connection...period. i know they will fix it sooner or later but as of now a 8 is too high.
I managed to get on for a few when it launched that morning and I loved what I got to experience. My buddy was on it all last night and got to work late as a result. It's good stuff and as chaotic as you'd expect.
These fanboys always giving free passes, htf can you rate an mp experience anything over thn a 5 if for the most part no one can get in and even if they did the mp is a total mess, this is why for now on %uck reviewers, everything is a popularity contest!!!! Sure its Rockstarlets give them a pass bcus they are cool bro.... %uck outta here! Rockstar mp games arent even known to be good anyway. They are filled with awkward controls, rigid characters and just dont feel natural movement wise. This was definitely the case with Read Dead and Max Payne 3 Anyway lets see if i get into a game tonight when i get home from work. Konsorumasuta... I have a hard time believing you. No one yesterday and for the most part today got on without any issues. ?If you tried and tried and then finally got through to a normal game, then maybe but that still doesnt discount the times you tried to no avail. Also when reviewing this game and knowing the situation that is going on with 99% of ppl not able to join games regardless if you experienced it or not that should have a bearing on the score. Your reviewing something to give info to the general public, not even mentioning the online issues is misleading!
I got on without any problems and had a blast. Maybe the reviewer didn't experience as many problems as everyone else. That could be why they gave it such a high score. Reviewers review games based on their experiences, not everyone else's.
The don't particularly make good single player stories either (major weakness on Rockstar's part). At the moment my experience has been diabolically awful with the multiplayer and the single player is one step forward but with a huge weight dragging it back. I don't think GTA V will have a lasting appeal as people are thinking right now (similar to GTA 4's issue)

But not everyone had issues trying to get online. I admit, a lot of people did, but not everyone. I got on and I enjoyed. Also, he did mention that other people were having issues. Read the review. He said "It’s a pity that the team and publisher Take Two have failed to predict the infrastructure requirements and to deliver a smooth experience from day one, but the situation will likely improve as developers fix bugs and overall demand drops a little." "At the moment, GTA Online is also affected by plenty of technical problems, probably mainly linked to the fact that most if not all those who have bought Grand Theft Auto V are trying to get into their multiplayer virtual worlds." He himself only talks about experiencing minor problems though. And in the bad, he even list "Some technical issues". But it would make no sense to give it a low score because other people can't play it, when you can. It's his experience.
bee ntrying to play since yesterday morning and havent got in one. even solo session is a waste
All my car customisations, my mission progress, my ability to save at safehouses, and Chop have seemingly disappeared after I tried to get on half an hour ago. I can no longer see Michael or Trevor's houses on the map and as Franklin it won't let me save when i'm next to the bed and his car has reverted to default as has Trevor's.
This is what i mean and everyone is experiencing this to one capacity or another, yet someone is saying they have been playing gta online perfectly? Yeah right!
