Grand Theft Auto is Violent Because You Want it to Be

Sean Halliday of Gamer Euphoria writes:

''For the last few weeks, the violence featured in GTA has been a topic of discussion for many people. Some think that Rockstar has crossed the line of decency–this figurative line that seems to change for each form of media. Grand Theft Auto has always been a violent franchise–the very heart of the series is violent–but it takes inspiration from both cinema and society, both of which thrive on violence. Grand Theft Auto 5 is violent because people want it to be. It’s that simple.'' (Grand Theft Auto V, PS3, Xbox 360)

It wouldn't be GTA if it wasn't "controversial".
