Year of Playstation Plus discounted to $40

XMNR: If you have been looking for a way to get in on the benefits of Playstation Plus, such as free games for the PS3 and PS Vita and online multiplayer for the upcoming PS4, Rakuten.com (formerly Buy.com) may have the offer for you this week.

Update:

Unfortunately, it was learned that the coupon code is only good once per order. Worse, the "AUTUMN10" promo code does not work with video game items such as the PS Plus subscription. The article has been updated to reflect that.

@5eriously
yes i know... but $39.99 with free shipping is still great

Offtopic but I don't understand how can they change buy.com name to Rakuten.com

I mean, yeah, I know the group bought buy.com but don't you think having a simple name was buy.com was better than rakuten.com or perhaps, they could have come up with a whole new name which was much simpler and made more sense than rakuten?

RXL1006d ago

mother of god

thank you sir/ma'am @Sono421

Crazyglues1006d ago (Edited 1006d ago )

Yeah good deal, but I already got 5 years for free...

-so I'm good.

and before you ask I did the credit card deal- that was going around- offering a free 12 months of PSN and 50 buck PSN credit

Crazyglues1006d ago

you apply for the card you get the card, then you make one purchase could be for as little as a dollar.. then you get your free 12 months of PSN and a 50 dollar PSN credit in an email, as a code to add to your playstation acct.

So I used the 50 buck credit to buy another year.. -but you can use it on games or whatever you want on the PSN store..

then got my girl to sign up for one.. did the same thing again...

and then got my aunt to apply... so I got 5 years - and with the last 50 buck credit I used on a game -BF4 PS3 copy, and when I get my free 10 bucks for spending 50 bucks in the PSN store in oct.. the deal they got going right now, I'll use that 10.00 bucks to upgrade to BF4 for PS4 for free....

Best time ever to be a PLayStation Gamer..

Getting stuff via credit card is more expensive in the long term...you mean all of them got credit cards? Just because you didn't post a link otherwise I would've thought this was scam lol

The yearly offers that come out for PS+ are enough for me as soon as something good shows up during the second half of my membership, I just renew it

Crazyglues1005d ago (Edited 1005d ago )

@ MazzingerZ

yeah they all got cards, every person gets that on sign-up - because it's just a code they give you, code can be used on any PlayStation acct.

-and yes I didn't post the link because i didn't want to seem like i'm spamming or promoting the Playstation credit card. -(I'll PM you the link if you want it)

-and no, it's like any other credit card, there is no annual fee and as long as you pay for what you buy your fine... so no long term expense..

I need wait until November to renew my PS+ account :-D

Crazyglues1005d ago (Edited 1005d ago )

Actually you don't have to wait until it expires to renew, whatever time you buy will just be added to the time you have...

so if you expire 11-12-13 then when you buy new time -like a one year- it's just added - so your new time would be 11-12-14

so your not losing time - the new time is just added on to whenever your old time expires.

Wow. That's amazing.

LoTuZ1006d ago

Ill buy 2 years if its only 70

Grave1006d ago

No kidding considering every month you get way more than $70 worth of freebies. PS Plus to me is still an unreal deal and I don't really know how Sony pulls it off.

DA_SHREDDER1006d ago

people just now figuring that out?

nunley331006d ago

volume is how and it gets games good promotion to people without plus too. the pay these devs get for putting their game in the igc some have commented saying they're satisfied with it. it's an overall package, not just money for them. but it's a genius thing that no one can compete with.

Lubu1006d ago

The seller has them for $45. There is a coupon that is applied that takes $5 off. But its only good towards 1. If you buy 2 of them, one will be $40 and the other will be $45. Also, the $10 off $50 promo code he's talking about IS NOT valid on these. It is only valid on a few categories. Really wish he would have done his research before posting this.

Ketzicorn1006d ago

Is this website any good?

Deividas1006d ago

yes, very good. I buy stuff off here all the time. Used to be named Buy.com. Well Known

Queasy1006d ago

Rakuten.com? Yes. They were Buy.com before their new parent company changed the name. Shipping is a little slow but I've never had any problems with them.

Ketzicorn1006d ago

Where do you enter the 10 off code because I'm trying to buy 2 and pay with PayPal and it keeps trying to charge me $85.

Queasy1006d ago (Edited 1006d ago )

N/M. The AUTUMN10 code doesn't work with the PS Plus card.

Ketzicorn1006d ago

Thanks yeah I found that but it says the AUTUMN10 code is invalid anyone get it to work?

0ut1awed1006d ago

This was added to the end of the article and probably needs to be added to the above post here too...
