The Wonderful 101 has been on the shelves for a little while now, and Director Hideki Kamiya is already thinking ahead and throwing around ideas for possible future games.
The Viewtiful 101
Why create all those characters, and then not let us use them individually ? single greatest mistake this game made. Could have been an epic game instead of just good.
Speak for yourself. For me, it was epic just the way it was.
Have you played the game? The depth in the gameplay mechanics comes from using multiple people to perform unite attacks. If it was individual, the gameplay would be bland, in comparison.
Good. It won't be a wii u exclusive. Guaranteed.
Wonderful 101 IP belongs for Nintendo. Anyways, i really want Wonderful 101 part 2.
So what? They rename it "The Viewtiful 101". Issue resolved. "Spin off", not sequel.
@The_Truth_24_7 news flash all Viewtiful Joe games started and main platform was GameCube.
W101 is a Nintendo IP so it would be an exclusive....guaranteed.
Haha, good one!
""Spin off", not sequel." Someone here does not know how intellectual properties work... Or just want to ignore it altogether. If what you state was true, Atlus wouldn't own Persona, as it is a spin off of SMT. A spin off, while a variant game, it's still part of a main game. Nintendo owns W101, so they would own all possible spin off. Also, read the last tweet in the article. What does Kamiya say about Xbox One/Ps4?: "Ask Ninty."
They are just using grade A fanboy logic. The facts and details don't matter in the least, only the tropes.
Really depends. Resident Evil was exclusive to Nintendo, it didn't stop PlayStation 2 from receiving Resident Evil Dead Aim, Resident Evil Outbreak, Resident Evil Outbreak 2 and, eventually, Resident Evil 4.
What if it was a spiritual successor and not a spin-off, like Dark Souls is to Demon's Souls? :o
@libroRx I'm aware of it, but as someone who goes by the truth, I can't help but state the facts straight. @TricksterArrow That's not how it works. RE is property of Capcom, so it's them who choose which consoles gets a RE game, be it a main entry or a spin off. Also, RE started on PS. The only Nintendo exclusive RE game is RE Zero, but as far as I know, there's nothing holding it's exclusivity, unless it's a similar case to MGS4. @jonatan221 That's an entirely different situation. But they're talking about a W101 spin off, so Platinum must remain loyal and keep the exclusivity of the franchise with Nintendo, as they are the owners.
ahh ok I see, I see!
Question: Would it stay on Wii U just like TW101 or would it be coming on PS4 and Xbox One? Answer:Ask Ninty. RT @BattleJoe97 If you can't understand this you never will.
It should be exclusive to next gen consoles in other words ps4 and xbone ... beside wii u not being a next gen console, nintendo fans dont want realistic graphics
"nintedo fans dont want realistic graphics" Oh, dear God...
well, nintendo fans do always say that graphics dont matter
"Not caring" and "not wanting" do not share the same meaning, just saying.
W101 is a Nintendo IP so it would be an exclusive.
If you want realistic graphics, then dont get a console at all. This graphics argument for console is only for fools. If graphics is all that counts, then get a PC. Dont bash the Wii U, because it values the gameplay more then the graphics. The console without a game cost around $250 that is almost the half of the PS4 and exactly half from Xbox1. You want to talk specs, then talk about PCs. A console will always be inferior, even if it gets optimized. Stop bashing the Wii U for its performance, since gameplay wise it offers everything one needs in HD. The games count, if the graphics count, please stop making fools of yourself and dont speak about specs on a console, like you really know anything about it. PS4 will be on par with a PC for about 1 year graphics wise, after that, not so much.
that nice plain old logic you have there but read what Kamiya said Ask Ninty. RT @BattleJoe97: Would it stay on Wii U just like TW101 or would it be coming on PS4 and Xbox One?
Lmao. This guy things he speaks for any type of majority.
I wish we could get a high quality Super Sentai game someday. The DS and Wii ones are absolutely horrible. Make it for next-gen consoles, and I'd even accept Musou gameplay, just like Kamen Rider Battride War. Heck, since Power Rangers is finally doing the Gokaiger adaptation and on their 21st anniversary next year, they could have console game tie-in. As long as it's a console game, I'd buy it no matter how atrocious. Note: What does Super Sentai/Power Rangers have to do with this? The W101 protagonists are clearly based on SS. I wish Kamiya's team are allowed to make a fast-paced, crazy over the too Super Sentai/Power Rangers game... Although, it would most likely be Japan-only, since PR is missing Goranger-Jetman, will start airing Gokaiger adap next year, and Gobusters and Kyoryuger are still a couple of years away.
You are truly delusional if the quality would be a step up. Super Sentai games are made in low quality because they sell anyways. It reeks of japanese gamedesign which is also dragging it down. It wouldn't be any different on X1 and PS4. note: mind you, there are some really well thought out games by japanese developers. But give the majority a supercomputer and they will treat it like an Amiga power house.
I wished for Kamiya's team to make a Super Sentai game, not the same old ones that did the ugly and horrible ones before on the DS. (I don't remember if there were was any SS games on the PS2 or Wii) Wonderful 101 is already like Super Sentai. Just make the characters realistic and have them doing crazy moves, and that's a game I'll buy no matter what next-gen console it's on.
I am getting a Wii U eventually just for Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101.... and oh yea, X!
Pretty sure he is trolling.
he always trolls.Although blue is certainly the type of characters he likes to work with and i would love for Nintendo to expand on this new IP but Kamiya likes to troll.
