I wish Vita would get a proper Monster Hunter game. It really is Sony's fault for letting it get out of reach. Though I don't really like Monster Hunter and would prefer Soul Sacrifice or God Eater, it would make Vita sales skyrocket in Japan. Hope Shahid made a deal.

Nintendo has done some sort of backroom deal with CAPCOM to secure the MonHun license (forever? for 5 years? for the current gen? Who knows). I'm pretty certain that we'll only see MonHun games on Nintendo hardware this gen.

However, CAPCOM isn't completely stupid. They know there's a fanbase for MonHun out there on the Sony side, so what CAPCOM will probably end up doing is making a Dragon's Dogma or Deep Down port to the Vita. There are already rumors swirling that a full-blown Dragon's Dogma port is in development for Vita, but we'll see.

No. Sony wanted Capcom to pay for both the localization and the ad hoc update that Portable 3rd would need to be playable between PS3 and PSP in the US. The entirety of it. Which I'm guessing was a huge amount as we never got Portable 3rd in the US and they made 3U for the 3ds and not the Vita. If I were to call the Vita getting Frontier G anything. I'd call it revenge as many believe this to be the worst Monster Hunter game in the whole franchise.

I actually thought this was a casual monster hunter game not a paid service.. but I think an actual game would work great for the vita, im sure a lot of people would buy it and buy a vita for it!
lets just hope we get God Eater 2 in the mean time :')

GE2 comes out on the same day as the Vita TV. Expect software sales to skyrocket.

I would prefer monster hunter freedom 4 on vita over frontier.

Or a remake of Freedom Unite with 3rd gen weapon mechanics.
