Ubisoft Questions if the Future of Console Gaming is Steam Powered

Does everything in gaming need to be about Steam. It's getting to a point were they will be a monopoly, and frankly you do not want one company controlling anything.

This is no different than Sony, Apple or Microsoft (Xbox). However more developers prefer to work with Valve and use their client. Besides you can make your own choice in clients you want to dive in, you can’t say that about anyone else.
