These games seem to be drawing older players back in, that's for sure. In that sense I haven't seen hype like this in a while.

These games look to completely overhaul the franchise. I can't wait. I expect to see a dramatic change.

I've been playing the Layton series recently, and the jump between Last Specter on the DS and Miracle Mask on the 3DS was so massive that it completely re-sparked my interest in the franchise. I can see X/Y having a similar effect on people.

I hope these games are as good as they look.

I agree and I am one of the older gamers. I remember getting Pokémon Blue for xmas when I was a kid and being really excited about it. I have for some unknown reason never got a hand held pokemon since. I have got battle and snap but when I saw this I felt that excitement again that I got when I wanted blue.
This games looks great and I cant wait to get X on my 3DS but it looks like I will have to get my other half a 2ds to get my 3ds back as she has not put down since I got Animal Crossing for her.

Plus I think when Pokémon X and Y come out sales of the 3DS are going to take off again.
