Miyamoto: Eiji Aonuma doesn't need me any more

Shigeru Miyamoto has told Official Nintendo Magazine that he doesn't need to look at the little details in the Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart games as he trusts the producers that he's trained. (3DS, Nintendo, Wii U)

Which basically means when I finally "bow out" in the future you'll be in good hands

That's actually kind of sad when you think about it. The first Zelda is Miyamoto's baby. The story is based on stories from playing outdoors during his childhood. Now he's so cool letting someone else be at the helm.

Knowing the creative capabilities of these two guys, that's pretty incredible.

Maybe now Nintendo will let him ride his bike to work.

I dont know what u really meant maybe.. but it sounds funny

@ samus, Nintendo doesn't let Miyamoto ride his bike to work because it would put him in unnecessary risk and he is too important for them. He was really bummed out when they gave him the news, Poor Miyamoto.

Well it's not like his Link will be used further.

Besides, Aonuma's made the best games in the series IMO. The franchise is in good hands.

To Eijis credit, he made OOT work. He was mostly the brain behind mechanics.

Actually, it would be pretty awesome if he came up with a new studio and became third party.
Misaka_x_Touma  +   301d ago

LOL_WUT  +   301d ago

As much as I love him games he can't do it forever
It's good He had faith and trust the people that will take his spot

Miyamoto is finding new people to run the existing IPs at Nintendo. So when gone they will continue with his teachings. Aonuma is basically the new head of Zelda IP.
