PES 2014 "History builds it's competitive edge " Interview - Gamer Fitnation

GamerFitNation’s Antwand 'BlackBible' Pearman interviews PES 2014 brand manager, Tim Blair, about the soon-to-be-released title. With a heavy focus on technology that gets the player not just in the game, but on the field, soccer has never been this realistic on a TV screen. (PES 2014, PS3, Xbox 360)

Good interview. Haven't gotten the full release game yet...but I am loving the demo. It's a difficult game to master, because of the intricate controls and micro-managing of the new physics engine. It really matters where your weight is when you dribble, shoot, pass, etc. Foot placement and balance is key to both offensive and defensive play. I am loving the individuality of the players as well and how that effects the way a team plays. Take a team like Manchester United against an "underpowered" team like Boca Juniors and you will see Boca retreat into a defensive shell and look for counters. The pacing is great for those that want to build play from the back or hold in the midfield and pick the opposition apart. The issue is that it takes several games to get to grips with this system. On first play, the game seems clunky and average at best. Come to grips with the new system and understand it and it truly opens up a pretty authentic representation of football (soccer).

Definitely getting this. Been playing PES 10 a lot the last few months and I'm definitely a PES fan now because of it and the ability to create teams/kits/logos/leagues.
