RPG Worlds - Depth Vs Practicality

Will from VGU takes a look at RPG worlds and wonders why there isn't more to the "worlds" we explore. Where are all the people, the villages and the lonely country houses? Are these things even practical, or is Will aiming for the stars? (PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360)

I agree. Emersion into the game's universe should be every RPG's aim, and poor story, small maps and overall shallowness,(in my opinion) doesn't allow for it.

Whatever is there, pack it full of as much content as possible, but keep everything neat and clean.
