Xbox One User Interface: A Detailed Look | NZGamer

NZG - "In a nice air conditioned room in a hotel adjacent to the venue for the chaos and excitement that is Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft’s Albert Penello gave us a rundown of the dashboard for the Xbox One (due for release on November 22.)"

The story is too old to be commented.

Gotta say as a Sony fanboy MS really did a great job on the interface. It looks like Windows 8(which i hate) but they've made it even better. It looks like the controller will also make it easier to use.

"Overall, the interface for the Xbox One has me quite impressed. The philosophy of simplification that has gone into the design is a massive improvement over the clutter of Xbox 360, and as far as functionality goes, I was pleasantly surprised."

-I'm just glad it works well like Windows 8 does with touchscreens. Can't wait to mess around with this and Kinect.

Very smart of them to make it look and feel like Windows 8 and the Windows phone interface. Gives you a nice, familiar feel for all of their products.

With that being said, I still think the metro interface is ugly. But hey, that's just me.

I have to agree. Ive even installed start8button on my win8 machine cuz i actually dont find the tile look appealing. Mind you i have touchscreen/keyboard.

i'd recommend classic shell over start8button.

Seems like navigating thru those tiles make it a task. Oh well if it feel fine who am i to complain

you can switch through pages of tiles with a single click on the bumper pad, just like on the 360.

Seems functional but ugly. So much green!

" it’s all well and good to yell “Xbox On!” to turn on your system, but some of the magic is lost if you have to grab a remote to turn the TV one before you can play. In order to address this, Microsoft have built an IR blaster into the kinect system, which can connect to TVs and convert voice commands into inputs the TV recognises."

Daaaaaaaamn!
