The man was like a Don. A true leader in the Japanese gaming landscape. Too bad he's gone, now there's no one to keep an eye on Iwata and the current state of Nintendo.

Rest in peace Yamauchi-San.

May your Nintendo live long and prosper and your family comforted and know that you made people smile by bringing us Miyamoto, Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Pokemon and I could go on and on.

You gave Nintendo a face. Trusted mascots that brought us happiness. For you and your faith in their work, I thank you.

Cheers to smart choices and leading a company to be a leader.

You're like a dad to me Mr. Yamauchi. I grew up playing your games, especially Mario and Zelda on NES. You thought of or green lighted so many quality video games with characters that brought games into the mainstream. The industry would not be where it is today without you. We owe you big time. Thank you.
