Generally speaking, puzzle games tend to be all or nothing when it comes to pressure. On one end of the spectrum, you have things like genre grandpappy Tetris [$0.99], games that relentlessly move faster and faster in an attempt to overwhelm your ability to think fast.
GameGrin's Kris West writes: "Every once in a while, you’ll fall upon a title that will surprise you. I rarely have this surprise but, for me, Strata has been one of them. Masked as a simple puzzle game, I found myself losing hours to this title in the strive for perfection."
Avoiderdragon: The iPhone and iPad had always been a destination for innovative puzzle games that dazzle players with sharp visuals and gameplay they’ve never seen before. Recently, there was Monument Valley that is absolutely exquisite. However, there is always a place for the simpler puzzle fare that is more for simplicity and relaxation rather than depth and super-abstract gameplay. That could be where Strata comes in, although it’s also not like most other puzzle games in its own right.
Jack writes- "Strata is a very well thought out puzzle game that doesn’t use complex game mechanics to distract away from the core game play. The use of sound and graphics really envelops players into a beautifully simple world with a comfortable atmosphere. The title doesn’t achieve anything ground-breaking but it does a great job at challenging the way in which you think whilst remaining composed and unique.
This game is available on Steam from the 30th of May 2014. I would like to thank the developers for letting Mouse N Joypad early access to this title. We really enjoyed it."
