Kotaku: "Japan knows a good giant mecha when it sees one. And from the sound of it, the country's gamers are more than pleased with what they are seeing with Titanfall."
titanFall it's more appealing too jp then the most other FPS out their
Japan likes mechs
I'm not Japanese but...Meh
This is Microsoft's best hope for Japan but they need to follow this up quickly by something else. Don't just release it and then have a void for the Japanese market. In 4 months after Titanfall's release there needs to be another (preferably) different game that attracts that market. The days of one game selling the system is gone. It is the, relatively, regular releases that makes people buy systems now (because they and the games are expensive)
Yup so All the more a localized japanese PS4 Version is in demand.
@iamnsuperman Very true! If anything aside from bluray, Sony's first party studios was the huge factor in them doing a comeback with the PS3.
it's= is too= to then most* their= there just helping you out, i can see english may not be your first language. good citizenship aside... actually you migh be right? japan doesnt really like too many fps to begin with huh... there you go MS. something positive.
It's actually: "than most". Just a small correction.
haha, i actually did notice that at first, there were just too many to remember XD. i think he mighta been grammar trolling.
mighta=might have... lol
im just saying, he had a 50/50 chance at 3 out of 4 words. and a 33.333% chance at the 4th word, and just happened to be the most unlucky person that day. i figured english wasent his first language and i was sincerely helping him. but now he can go suck a ****.
So the question is how long will the game have been available to PC by the time the XB1 comes out there.
good question because if its that good ill pick it on up on pc full price instead of waiting for a sale.
They might have it as a xbox1 launch title with a simultaneous PC release... perhaps?
It might even sell a few 360s unless ms tricks them into believing it's X1 exclusive.
Xbox One really has some great games to come around launch time and this is one of those possible great games. Im excited.
Titanfall isn't a launch game, but it does look fun.
Here come the Sony fans.....
Why? I like Sony but i do not care about this game. So for me all is fine.
Great news I guess for Titanfall, it really is looking good and more exposure is good! I just wish it will come to PS4, we'll see.
It will come to the ps4 just in time for xmas. EA is a mutiplatform developer.
Just like Left 4 Dead 2 did right? Remember that on PS3? Published under the same publishing program as Titanfall with EA... Keep dreaming.
@Ohlmay. Stop being selfish and learn to share.. lol. Everybody should have a chance to support Respawn. They got dissed by Activision in a major way and i hope they take out the COD franchise out of pure principle. They broke up a world class development studio over greed and Respawn deserves success more than a lot of studios out there.
EA is developing another exclusive just for the PS4. Yes they do make exclusives.
valve are fanboys name more please..
They wont take out cod on xbox one only. Ps3 will sell 5x better then one and Sony always will have games because they actually have many great first party studios.
Still wont see anyone buying a one.
Well I can already tell you you're wrong cause I for one will be
Xbox One has the best games so far, PS4 is really lacking in triple A titles. Only Infamous interests me so far, the Xbox One lineup with Titanfall and so much more (e.g. Halo V, Fable Legends, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and more) Xbox One clearly has the best games.
You don't know anything about halo 5 , fable legends, quantum break etc and xbox games suddenly becomes best games . Rofl. Speak for yourself only. I can also go ahead and say U4 , the order , SSM ip, gg new ip, are the best games.
Uc4 hasn't been announced though. In your list, only the Order makes sense it that does look like a pretty interesting game to me. We know enough bout Halo 5, Quantum Break and Fable Legends to make them very appealing. We know they exist for starters. We know they are being made by capable studios. We know the premise somewhat of each game... What can you tell me about gg's new IP? When is it coming? What's it about? SSM? What are they working on besides the Order?
@bundi That is my point here bro. We don't know enough of those titles to proclaim that they are best games like ohlmay is claiming. You have to wait and see. Don't go beating your drum yet. Whatever you people know about games like halo 5, quantum break , fable etc doesn't make them best games. You people don't know about ps4 unannounced games just like me so please stop jumping the gun. Lol And please get this thing to your head that I am not talking about appealing. They may be appealing to you. I am talking about calling them the best games already. It's a bit too much. Don't you think?
I would agree but those games look good but not triple A. ITs launch so games are never that good.
All those games mentioned are triple A. Triple A games are the size of the budget and it differs from each company but to say those games aren't AAA is definitely wrong.
Actually the simple answer to this article is they love mechs. As for me I'm still not interested in the game at all. Not interested in most games coming out lately, but that's just me.
You need to quit gaming for a while. It sounds like burnout. To me gaming is better than it has ever been. The only bad thing about gaming nowadays is that I don't have the time to keep up on all the outstanding games.
Probably but my interest lies more with RPGs and Strategy games right now. I play other genres, but they don't get my attention as much. Blizzard would call me a caveman also since I don't care about online games either. At least I have a few kickstarters, and other big RPG's next year.
there is really something in this game im not seeing. im not trolling i actually see nothing that seperates this game from cod, so why is it that ppl r buying into it?
Maybe seeing isn't the same as actually playing?. . .Nah that can't be it. I'll keep digging.
" im not trolling i actually see nothing that seperates this game from cod" You think Titanfall looks identical to COD and you can't see the difference between the two? I'm not being smart here but have you even looked at Titanfall yet? Because it doesn't sound like you have. Unless I'm wrong which may be the case, but can you link screenshots of any COD game which features the summoning of mechs from orbit for use in online multiplayer and wall running/parkour like in Titanfall?
what makes the mechs any different from a killstreak in cod? i wouldn't have been surprised if treyarch's next cod had them. the game looks like the same run and gun till you get a killstreak and go on a killing spree. but maybe Bundi is right i gotta play it to get the difference .
To me he mechs are minor. They're a stylish way to add structure and flow to a team deathmatch. What separates the game from cod is the character movement. There is a whole skill game involved in moving around the level, not just in point+shoot. Not seen much of that since quake 3, and I cannot wait to play. PC most likely for me though, game is begging for a mouse.
im so hapy for ms....i need to play this game..titanfall definitly will be huge.
Should be great. Why all the hype though?
If Microsoft wants to grab my attention, they need to secure a MechAssault 3.
That's great news was afraid the japanese gamers would hate it by being a FPS.
I don't think they hate FPS I just think they prefer a different type of shooter like Titanfall. I don't see them getting into COD or Battlefield. Definitely something more science fiction though.
Been years since they have seen a good game there.
Can't wait for the PS4 version!
But you can...and you have to don't you? Shame really.
Anything with giant robots sprouts boners in Japan. Regardless, looks like fun.
