Gameplayer has previewed next years blockbuster release from Capcom, Resident Evil 5. It includes the latest information just leaked out of Japan.

"RE5 will include an artificial iris effect, whereby if you enter a building from outside it will take a couple of seconds for your 'eyes' to get used to the light levels. hell yeah RE5 will be awesome

im not sure about the light mechanic, but that gunplay- its just incredible

i also hope that somehow the pirate makes a return, and they keep all the staples of RE like herbs and that inventory system (a lot of people hated it, but i thought it was cool)

all i hope is that they make it just as good as resi 4, one of the best games ive ever played

Mixing herbs brings back memmories, especialy since first aid sprays seemed to be so hard to come across.

Keep up the good work capcom. :)

So? Most games featuring HDR lightning these days has it. Might not be such a big part of the game play in most games but the feature is in no way new.

This is the same information contained in that Video-interview with the game director. Nothing new here, but still interesting.
