Kotaku -"If you're driving north, up the west coast of Grand Theft Auto V, as I did in the 40th hour I was playing the game, you might spot a crashed car smoldering in the long ditch between the northbound and southbound lanes."
awe poor feminist. good read tho.
i dont think R* will ever create a female main character, on a lot of different accounts.
-too risky. investing in story and gameplay of a female playing in (you said it) a mans world, with a mans fanbase, is taking a chance with time, money and credibility. they would have to accommodate to everything you mentioned (everything a female does differently basically). that will be a big game changer as far as developement goes (pretty much double the content and interactions with everything). not only that but say its the same senario nex game but with one female role. that will be a third of the game they are taking a gamble with just as far as even being able to make it good enough for the majority of the fanbase, let alone the extra developement time (&money) in adding to the actual world in accomodations.
plus R* probably doesnt care about what a women thinks about the game (as they have proven by not listening to any of you since the begining) because, well, if you look at the number of hardcore female gamers, then take that number and add the fact that not all of them play gta... not only are they a minority, they are a very small minority gta player/game purchaser.
i personally wouldnt want it bc i dont want it taking from what it has been; a game for "mahoginist pigs" in a mans world from a game long-in-the-making catering specifically to men. please dont change that. like, change anything else But that. cod, killzone (id like that), battlefield, infamous, w/e. let gta be gta, really, thanks.
GTA has always been this way and quite frankly the world it represents does too. It's pretty accurate if you ask me.
Bros before foes.
mimimisogynistic gta is a series that does not need to give in to some feminist outcries about misogynism... they are hugely successful and with a predominantly male gamer audience. when the dominant audience of gta games are women, Im sure rockstar will think about including some characters that coincide with feminist imaginings.
