Capcom Working to Bring More 'Mega Man' to the 3DS

8CN: Despite a lack of news on the previously announced Mega Man titles heading to the 3DS Virtual Console, Capcom is assuring fans that those titles, and even more, on the way. These include classic Game Boy games such as Mega Man II, III, IV, and V. While the publisher doesn't have a firm release window set, community manager Brett Elston offered a small update on their progress. (3DS, Capcom, Mega Man)

I wish Capcom should start realisng Vita/3DS, not just making 3DS games because its cheaper, step up your game Capcom.

@KonsoruMasuta Who are you kidding? You know Monster Hunter was popular on the PSP it always sold really good. Expanding to Vita would give it a huge leap to PS Vita Sells plus more sells. You are wrong they tend to make the cheapest product they can that they know will sell, so their "risk" is just greed that they are not willing to spend money to develop a Vita Monster Hunter which will cost more then a 3DS game and guess what you sell both at 39.99 that's why they choose the cheaper console to develop for.

They aren't just making games for the 3DS becuase it is cheaper. Capcom is one of those companies that don't like to take risk.

Once the Vita starts selling more, I'm sure Capcom will start feeling comfortable about making games for it.

Give it some time, it will come soon, especially with the Vita TV on the way.

MoveThwGlow, it saddens me too. I still want MegaMan Legends 3, damnit!!

This is Virtual Console news. Capcom isn't making anything new for Mega Man yet, at all. It saddens me, and it also kinda dampens any "They should make a new Mega Man for X system" argument.

Megaman Legends on the PSN would be awesome. Also want Digimon World 1 PS one classic, but that has nothing to do with Capcom.

@Transporter47 you're right, but Sony has to work harder with Capcom relations to make that happen. Capcom and Nintendo are best buddies.

No, they don't want to develop for a product with a low install base. That's way I said, wait for Vita sales to go up.

It has nothing to do with development cost and everything to do with a higher chance of more people buying the game on the handheld with the bigger install base.

Still no new Megaman game? I don't mind Re-releases on the VC too much, but fans have been asking for a REAL and NEW megaman game for months. Inafune managed to fulfill his fans request by re-making megaman into Mighty no.9 and the money he's gotten shows that people do want these games.

I don't trust capcom. I lost their trust long ago and I don't think I'll buy their megaman game(new). Cause I think their megaman game will be made out of spite and not love for the character/franchise. RIP megaman, RIP.

"Capcom is assuring fans that those titles, and even more, on the way"

I don't understand that. If the 6 NES games are on 3DS, and you're putting the rest of the Game Boy games on there, what else is there to do?
