Wow. That's all I can say. 275,000+ units moved in a week all thanks to Monster Hunter 4. 3DS is a beast!

bothebo1582d ago

Lol those are some high numbers. Yet as a Vita owner I can't help notice the decline of the Vita sales for last 3 or 4 weeks even after a price drop.... I think it's time for some more software.

GribbleGrunger1582d ago

But you didn't notice the increase in Vita numbers in Europe and America ...

Concertoine1582d ago (Edited 1582d ago )

Another japan hardware sales article, another person saying the price cut was ineffective.
Once again. These are japan numbers, where a price cut happened months ago.

I am sure we will see Vita sales increase once the PS4 releases and Vita TV. But not having a powerhouse franchise like Monster Hunter or Pokemon really hurts them in Japan.

Bundi1582d ago

Where Gribble? In the Japan numbers? I'm confused.

bothebo1582d ago

I'm also talking about the American and European markets. A price drop brought sales up about 60% in America but they've been going down steadily since then, according to VG Chartz.

Looks this people:

Looking at 3DS sales and Vita sales side-by-side is really impressive.

VITA JPN software = 1 3DS 3rd party IP

Impressively sad for Sony's handheld.

The Sony employee/s that was supposed to keep MH/Capcom relationship for Sony's handheld must now be MIA/s.

It's not even over yet: Pokemon.

Neonridr1582d ago

Pokemon will sell more copies in Japan than the total number of Vita owners worldwide ;)

Williamson1582d ago

Really impressive sales by the 3ds!

Sony should have got a Monster Hunter on the VITA with much improved graphics.
