A Look at Ryse: Son of Rome | WinPhankyle

Dallas: The time has finally come, the next-gen video game systems are about to launch. For the past few years, Microsoft has been working tirelessly on creating the best entertainment experience that a video game console can offer. When the Xbox 360 was launched in 2005, Hulu didn’t exist, broadband internet wasn’t the norm and only a small number of people had an HDTV. When the Xbox One launches in November, Microsoft will give us a video games console that not only plays some amazing looking games, but it will also act as a all-in-one hub for living room entertainment.

Before the Xbox One launches, I will go into more detail on the new Kinect 2.0 and other exciting features that will come with the Xbox One, but for now, I would like to focus on an upcoming Xbox One game that is being developed by Crytek and published by Microsoft. (Ryse: Son of Rome, Xbox One)

might be low quality but I still love the shots from e3 most. Marcus face looks so cinematic...the expressions make me feel like I am looking at a real person and a real event, not just a bunch of polygons. You can really tell he is about to go into the battle.

Screenshots don't make a game, funny thing is we hardly see any clips of the game in motion and the videos released are underwhelming.

And it is very likely the graphics will be downgraded to make the game reach the target of 30fps judging by the scaled down details in a comparison made the other day.

Ryse Uses CryEngine 4th Generation. It's a new engine(4.0) Give the devs a break dude. I know some of you view this as some great victory. You hate it and don't care yet you guys care more about it than the fans. The final resolution won't stop the game from blowing our minds even more when we see close to final polish over the next few days.

So I guess COD Ghosts 1080p 60fps is better looking than every other next gen game if you go by res and fps.

This game just looks sooo freaking good! Oh man, my stomach just ties up in a knot when I see the HD shots. So detail and so clean. Whether 900P or 1080P, it is definitely the most beautiful game I have seen so far.

I don't really get it. It doesn't matter which system you like, respect the amount of work that goes into creating a entertaining experience. These guys are trying their best to make a unique experience and people dislike it because of the console it is on. Man get over yourself. If its not for you don't play it.

To the main article: ''Can't wait for this game!!!''

You're absolutely right. Too bad for sad PS fanboys coming to all Xbox articles and downvoting comments that have anything positive in it relating to the Xbox One.

The PS community on this website is terrible and I am happy that they won't be on Xbox Live.

I'm about sick of seeing this game. You can tell it has roots from the X360 development with some of the textures. Overall not seen too many impressive next gen games, but I still want KI and Forza on the XB1. PS4 probably will pick Madden 25 in November, and maybe Watch Dogs depending the comparison between the PC and PS4 version.

Someday during the month of november or december 2013.. I will finally walk into a store and proudly pick up my copy of ryse and dead rising 3..been saving up for the xbx one and 3games at launch..wish titan fall was launching with it too.

I tell you what guys. I'm going to play this at Eurogamer along with a load of XB1 and PS4 games. I'm not bias and will give you my honest opinion. If its shite I will report back honestly.

My thoughts so far is that it reminds me on Conan on 360 but with state of the art graphics and physics. I'm sure it will run and look good but I'm interested to see if the gameplay has moved on from GOW/Conan type games. The game so far looks great but there's nothing like a hands on look to help me make up my mind.

Yeah that would be appreciated...also give us your verdict on Forza 5 if you would be so kind. Hopefully they'll have released a new demo at Eurogamer with more cars and tracks to choose from.
Animal Mutha 76  +   217d ago
No problem. I'm a Forza nut, own them all and am currently around lvl 200 on F4. I played that as a demo at Eurogamer 2011 and I was sold.

F5 demo will prob be very similar using 40inch tvs and a controller. They had 8-10 units last time so I'll be there quick sharp.

I'm going on the 29th so will PM you after.

This game is turning out to be the sleeper hit the Xbox One needs. This game has been on my radar for a while, adding, this game with Deadrising 3, Forza, Crimson Dragon, and multiplatform games shows that MS really does want to diversify there lineup. Can't wait for Xbox One on day one.

So many options and a little bit of time. LOL
