Console Versions of Indie Games Considered a “Lower Risk”

It’s about profit and risk when it comes to making games and putting them out but according to Retro City Rampage developer Brian Provinciano, it’s a lot less risky to port indie games to consoles. “I’ve been very successful in console, and I haven’t touched mobile yet. I feel in many cases that console games can be a lower risk.” Mobile gaming is something entirely different but still, the difference between pc and console porting can be vast. Mobile gamers mostly want something to distract them a few minutes at the bus stop or while they're not on Facebook.Console gamers have a better chance of buy-in your game. Not to mention your game is probably going to be lost in the endless sea of $.99 cent apps and clones
