IGN - "Some fondly remembered game designs have aged poorly, but if I didn’t know that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker came out 10 years ago on GameCube, it would be easy to believe that this HD re-release was a brand-new Wii U game."
I never did buy this on Gamecube (borrowed it from a friend). I was about to buy a copy online a few months ago, but then they announced an HD remake. I'm really excited to play this game again after 10 years.
I guess the Wii U finally got a worthwhile game even though its not new technically
pikmin 3 is more than worthwhile.
Forgot about that game
Wonderful 101 is also worthwhile.
Zombie U.. you forget this amazing game.
def W101,picked it up today and having a blast, @ritsuka666 eeeh lets be real here, there are much better zombie games out there.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Zombi U, Rayman Legends,
In addition to Pikmin, there's also Wonderful 101, which is loads of fun. And New Super Mario Bros U, which is the best 2D Mario since Mario World. And New Super Luigi U, which is a pretty good Mario U expansion. And Lego City Undercover, which is a pretty fun sandbox game. And Zombi U, which is a superb survival game and the game with the best Gamepad implementation to date.
nano assault neo is amazing too
I never played Wind Waker, so that will be a great opportunity to get into the flood timeline of Zelda series and get to know better how this game feels and why it is hated by many lol.
I don't know why people hate it. I thought it was great and I know there a lot of people that feel the same. I know at first some people were put off by the graphics, but most of them let it go.
Prepare to have a great time. Wind Waker is my personal favorite Zelda game. I think a lot of people were put off by the graphical style, but I really like it. It's like playing a cartoon.
Is this currently the highest rated Wii U game? If so then purchasing this game day one makes it all that better (physical copy). ;)
Now it's not just a GCN port, eh? Funny how things with 'critics' like you change when the reviews are especially positive.
Pops... lol. Why do you take Lol_Wut's opinions so seriously? Anyone would think he shot your mom or something. XD
Eh. It was something I noticed, so I pointed it out.
Call it a hunch but... I see a sales increase.
I see a sails increase. 'Sea' what I did there?
funny + xD
I see a 'sails' increase too.
Blows my mind that this game is 10 years old. It holds up pretty damn well.
well they did use brand new assets for the game..
Now this is how you remake a game. Sony take notes!
Lolz! Nintendo fanboys enjoying their zelda while we are having a BLAST with gta
Yep isn't it nice when everyone is happy.
so people are having fun on all consoles...I don't see the problem...
Yeah cause Nintendo fans only play nintendo
@boya3gob94 - the only fanboy here is you. I have a 360 too, so I can enjoy GTA V whenever I want. Best of both worlds.
Uh, allot of us Nintendo fans own past gen consoles too, like myself. So why so you assume we are missing out?
More like Sonyfanboys only enjoying games that come to sony platforms while Nintendo fans have a blast playing everything.
Dude you just flipped a table that is unflippable ... its a known fact, nintendo fanboys only enjoy mario and zelda then complain why nintendo systems arent getting third party support. While on my ps3 i can have THE BLAST playing everything, from amazing first party games to outstanding third party games
@boya3goba94 Nintendo fans don't only play nintendo games because they usually own more systems, unlike Sony fanboys who for some reason think the only games worth mentioning are on sony platforms so they conform to only having a playstation.Missing out on The RTS and Moba Genre completely. Missing out on PC exclusives,Missing out on every Nintendo exclusive which alone beats out Sony's exclusives.Even Xbox has a few worthwhile exclusives.
I'm sure GTAV is an amazing game, don't get me wrong. But I think I prefer the great story, puzzles and gameplay of the Zelda franchise. The stories of Zelda seem to stick with me for years where shooting stuff and crime is not quite as a memorable experience for me. IMO
