On August 28th, 2013, Nintendo announced the Nintendo 2DS. This new addition to the Nintendo handheld family allows the user to play Nintendo 3DS games, but for $40 less. The affordability may benefit the consumer, will it benefit Nintendo?
I don't see how this device can harm Nintendo, people seem to be forgetting that the DS truly took off when the DS Lite and NSMB DS launched. The 2DS is launching at the same price with a new generation of Pokemon. Very smart move if you ask me.
