Grand Theft Auto: One of Britain's finest cultural exports?

William Shakespeare, Edward Elgar, The Beatles, James Bond... Grand Theft Auto?

The list of cultural icons from this "small island" is world-changing, formidable, unmatched - and so to put a video game into the same sentence as those mentioned above may be considered daring. (Grand Theft Auto, Industry, Tech)

GTA is Scottish. If it was made in England it's English. If made in Scotland or Wales it's British. That's how the English think.

As an Englishman, I will say it is British, but if you're happy with it being Scottish than whatever man. Makes no difference to me.

Well going by the latest poll results, Scotland won't be going independent.

Even if Scotland wins independence, what sort of independence would it be? constant loans from the UK/England, constantly having to have their budgets verified by Westminster if they keep the pound? hmm, sounds like great independence.

William Shakespeare, Edward Elgar, The Beatles, James Bond... Grand Theft Auto?

All of those Names came from England no? But the article(probably written by an Englishman) says they are British...

Scotland will always be British, the country called Scotland along with Wales is sat on that big piece of rock called Great Britain.

gaelic_laoch: Do please take the time to look up the differences between,Great Britain, The British Isles, British Islands, Ireland and the United Kingdom...

The Houser brothers, however, are English.
MightyNo9  +   316d ago
And the game came from Scotland. It's Scottish and honestly the English probably couldn't come up with an original idea. They needed to invade and enslave other places to make up for the fact they are dull humans. xD

You are aware who the Houser brothers are ?
Point being, the GTA series wouldn't be what it is without folks from north and south of the border, so calling it British is perfectly reasonable.
