Microsoft needs to make Lost Odyssey 2 for the Xbox One

30Npire: Microsoft investing in games like a sequel to Lost Odyssey will be a big PR win for Microsoft in the eyes of gamers. It proves a point to gamers that Microsoft – while being a corporation that financial returns are important too – is committed in creating and providing great gaming content that is exclusive to the Xbox One.

LO1 was such a great experience and I have always hoped there would be a sequel.

Sadly I do not see it happening since it sold ok and MS is known for not committing to something if it makes no $$$$$.

I wonder if it does happen, will they start over with new characters and universe like FF or continue the story? I would prefer they continue instead of starting over...maybe a prequal where we grt to relive Khimes memories.

Lost Odyssey was always meant as a trilogy, so i can't see why they would go the FF route.

I doubt it they didn't try on the 360 when fans was asking for it. They need A kickass jrpg for japan because they hate FPS.

It was do to the low sales>the small fan base for the reason why a second wasn't made. But I do agree this should be made.

Umm they dont NEED to make this.. also never heard of it

I don't play rpg's and even I heard of this. Haven't heard a bad thing about it the first one

The thing is Mistwalker and LO are not Microsoft property, so the one who should invest in it should be Mistwalker, and make it multiplat.

Roccetarius1712d ago (Edited 1712d ago )

I can't imagine Microsoft owning Mistwalker. That would probably diminish the quality.

Anyways. if Microsoft sells the first Lost Odyssey, like they did Mass Effect, who knows?

(They do own the first game, is what i'm saying).

MS owns the IP period along with Blu Dragon and Infinite Undiscovery. Mist Walker does not own the IP. So a LO2 could be contracted out to another company if need be.
