Call of Duty®: Ghosts Seamless Next Gen Upgrade Plans

This is a very exciting year for Call of Duty® but also for gaming in general, with the next generation of consoles launching this November. We know you have many questions when it comes to upgrade plans, stats and content migration, and the different options you have as a consumer to purchase and play the game. (Call of Duty: Ghosts, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

So let me get this straight, if you buy this game on ps3 not only do you get to keep your physical ps3 copy of the game, but you also get a code to download the game for only 9.99...
This is much better than the Xbox deal if you are hoping you could sell your physical copy once you get it on the next gen console, which I will personally do as I will never go back to playing it on ps3.
Thank You SONY

Actually it isn't. I read that once you upgrade, you required to have the PS3 disc to play the PS4 version.

This means:

a) the code is to prevent one copy of Ghost buying multiple upgrades

b) the disc requirement to play on PS4, is to prevent you from flooding the market with PS3 versions.

In short, it is the inferior way of doing it, and I would go all digital to avoid all that hassle.

Yes but how exactly?
The ps4 wont be able to read the ps3 disc will it? pm me or something, I'm intrested

Why wouldn't the PS4 be able to read PS3 discs?

PS3 are blu-ray discs too!

I kinda like that this would be a great way to see how much better next-gen is. Play Call Of Duty: Ghost on current-gen for a couple of weeks and then upgrade to next-gen, the differences should be immediately obvious.

But I'm cheap, so I'll just wait for the next-gen version.
