Gamer Mondays: A Halo of Hypocrisy

"A couple of weeks ago, you may recall that the legendary Hideo Kojima Tweeted about how he asked one of his character designers to intentionally create more “erotic” characters for the purpose of cosplay and figurine sales (If you have forgotten, you can see the Tweets here). Kojima later said that his true meaning was lost in translation, and that he simply meant sexier, especially regarding the new female sniper in Metal Gear Solid V known as Quiet (See below for a “scandalous” pic)." Stealthy Box (Halo 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, PS3, Xbox 360)

I bet more than half the people bought Halo 4 because of Cortana. I remember watching a trailer and man, did I find her....

I also know a friend who never bought Halo 1-3, but when I asked him why he only got 4, he simply said, "better graphics and realistic characters." When I started talking about Cortana, he went fantasy mode. I guess you can say that as technology improves, we will find more naked women. Then again, Halo 4 guy really came off as a hypocrite.

I bet less than half the people bought Halo 4 because of Cortana.

If people like that really want to see Cortana there's plenty of sites out there for such things.

I bet All the People who bought Halo support Cortana's existence.

Support Cortana existence is one thing but the way he's talking about it is like half of the people brought Halo 4 just to see Cortana's body.

People didn't buy Halo 4 because Cortana is sexy. That is just gravy.

As far as Metal Gear: Hideo Kojima should just make the game he wants to. Let the media hate all they want. All this does is bring even more attention to the game. Rock Star are the best at dealing with the idiot in the media. They just ignore them. The fans buy the games and play them, and the media just keep recruiting them new fans with every release. Sweet!

Well look at the "observant" crowd here. If that was the case then, heh, SPOILERS she's gone now.

That was the intentional canon.

I'm just playing Halo 4 at the moment. Honestly I find Cortana's makeover and pout a bit creepy and cheap.

I noticed this, too.

Cortana is basically holographic fan-service. A few female journalists even noted how "naked" and curvacious her body was. She's definitely rocking more sex appeal than Quiet... but then again, what do I know? I'm not a SJW with a biased slant and an agenda to push.

SJW: Shonen Jump Weekly?

Yes Cortana was overly sexualized this last game but she was a fully developed powerful female character . I doubt Kojimas character will be more than tits with a big gun and will be pretty shallow compared to the depth of Cortana
Name Last Name  +   364d ago
^ MGS main characters are not shallow. Cortana may end up with more depth than Quiet but its because she has appeared in more games.

I'm going to assume you were purposefully trolling here, mate.

Even Sunny in MGS4 had more depth compare to Cortana ;)
