Beta’d: Taking to the Seas of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Nerdist: "Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag turned out to be the bad kid that got straight A’s at PAX Prime this year. Ubisoft Montreal has taken the naval battles from Assassin’s Creed III and went on to build what is appearing to be an incredibly refreshing addition to the series. Forget anything that Disney’s Peter Pan has taught you about pirates. Black Flag is the real deal and is aiming at landing the most authentic and engaging depiction of the Golden Age of Piracy in a video game to date. Also, as an added bonus to all of that, the game is actually shaping up to be the funnest Assassin’s Creed title in the series thus far." (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Went down to Gamestop and did my pre order today for this master piece. I've been lazy and meant to do it weeks ago. This is the first game that will be played on my already pre ordered PS4! Enough cannot be said about this absolutely mind blowing breath taking visually stunning massive massive open world adventure.

It will be interesting to see how well this game sells. Quite a lot of my mates are a AC fan but I so far not onw of them have pre ordered it they are all pre ordering BF4 on the 360 and ps3 and I know 4 people who have pre ordered a Xbox one and 2 who have pre ordered a ps4 and not one of them have pre ordered the new AC.

AC3 ruined AC for a lot of us. It had the COD effect of just more of the same. And not just with AC3, with everything after brotherhood.

This game looks like what AC3 should have been.

Many games do that I feel as well. Like GTAIV, man was that a huge disappointment. Yet, I feel GTAV got it back on track. This is the same with AC4. Massive changes in game play. Many that people are still unaware of.

Like no fail missions anymore. Get spotted and the game play continues on and now you have to accomplish it however it unfolds.

Crouch, in games past when ever you took cover in bushes and whatnot. All you could do is hide and not use a single weapon while hidden. If you did use a weapon, you would stand up exposing yourself. Now, that has been changed. You can now lock on and target bad guys all while in cover. The way it should have always been. Since this is a stealth game.

We know about seamless play. Loading screens are a thing of the past. Makes for a very good game play because it never breaks up the adventure. You'll game for hours and hours and not even be aware.

No more Animus walls. Like all the games in the past. You would reach many locations and not be able to go any further. That has been removed. Now you can go anywhere at any time. But instead of that walls now they have check points that will test you to get passed. Like stronger forts, setting a few Man of War ships in your way. So this pushes you to search for upgrades in your progression of the game.
