Zelda: Wind Waker HD vs. GCN – Swift Sail comparison video

Sailing in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is much faster than in the GameCube version thanks to the swift sail. But how much faster? We put the two head-to-head in race to find out just how much time you'll really save when sailing the Great Sea! (The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Wii U)

There really is bloom overkill in the Wii U version, I hope it;s not too distracting when I play it.

it is kind of...

However, I do like it in motion a lot more than stills. I did say a lot of times before that the soul of wind waker was ripped out, but this does look better than i expected.

I've grown to like the WiiU version. Not as something thats superior but something thats different and stands on its own. I will forever stick to the fact that the GCN version is still one of these looking games ever. period. lol.

They turned down the bloom drastically. It's mostly only on the horizon now.

It's the last game in the world that needs a remake, the old one still looks good to this day

Thanks its a pretty lame reply to a pretty lame remark I guess. Your right about the original still being a beut but the remake is even more of a beut and why wouldn't anyone want that?

you can play this game with WAY better graphics for free on pc if you own the original

dolphin emulator kills this sub-hd remake

You must be blind if you think that's way better graphics. Look at the grass, the sky, the textures. Not to mention you miss out on all the new features.. IE the one this video is about.

It's almost like it's no longer "cell-shaded". It doesn't have the same cartoon look in the new one. It looks great but they definitely dialed down the super bright/vibrant colors with a more natural tone.

I really like it, if/when I get a Wii-U I'll definitely be picking this up.

Let's see, before I pick up a Wii-U I need all or most of these titles out first:

New Zelda made specifically for Wii-U
Pokemon made for Wii-U
Metroid made for Wii-U

I'm not all that interested in Mario, Smash bros. or kart racing but so far there are a few games already out that I want.

Monster Hunter is a big one and The Wonderful 101 looks fun.

What ever your drinking I never want any.

I don't get a Ganon figurine, though, now do I...

Ok cuntilumkin, upscaling the compressed 480p gamecube textures on your pc through the dolphin emulator is considered full HD in your PC elitist mind but the game running on Wii U using the original uncompressed artwork textures in native 1080p you apparently consider sub HD. I don't think you understand how this works lol, either your completely naive or you actually like disagrees and being considered an idiot.
