3 Ways Grand Theft Auto V Will Take Video Games to the Next Level

CraveOnline: "GTA 5 will change the gaming landscape. We explore how." (Grand Theft Auto V, PS3, Xbox 360)

In my opinion:

1. Highly detailed/authentic worlds.
2. Multi /interchangeable protagonist storylines.
3. GTA Online (not just adding the usual bog standard multiplayer)

Eh, I'd say my 3 reasons, without reading this article would have to be:

1. Massive sandbox map FILLED with life and excitement.

2. The standard of games now being accepted by the general population is highly raised, not allowing games like COD to consume all the glory, when their devs don't work nearly as hard as ND, or R*.

3. Keeping fun things in games as well as serious aspects. A game that becomes too serious of itself can lose its fun factor fast. R* and GTA have successfully allowed themselves to shy away from the public's standards. (IE their silly immaturity and blatant sex missions)

This game will prove why Rockstar is a god among developers.

Open world: GTA V sets standard.

Story driven games: The last of Us sets standard.

Both of these games sets a really huge benchmark for games, and both are a seriously contender for Game of the generation :)

Brother was playing it these past few days and yea the only thing that this game has going for itself is how big the open world is and how detail and alive it feels. It will take open world to the next level for sure because that what makes this the game so popular. Story wise it's nothing special from the rest of the gta games.

$60 for a game that actually may be worth it, thats one of my reasons :)

To an extent, the game has that Next gen feeling to it.

Amazing the amount of knowledge and certainty of which people speak, having never actually PLAYED the game. I'm hoping GTAV can recapture some of that atmosphere and fun which came with playing San Andreas/Vice City, however...GTAV was an absolute snore-fest.
