Great interview. It's not everyday that a huge fanbase will give developers a do-over.

Yeah, it was sad that they had to redo the game, but at least you know they didn't just abandon the game and fans.

Hoping to check it out on PS4, but for now I'm gonna be busy with GTA. No time for this MMO :(... :)... :(.... :D

Microsoft could learn a few lessons from this guy.

"No one is going to believe us, and so by not giving up on 14 and by admitting our mistakes, facing our mistakes and overcoming them and remaking the game and showing them we are committed to this project, and we are committed to our fans is the way we wanted to get that trust back. We hope that by doing this launch, we can get some of that trust back."

MS is doing the same thing. They admitted their mistakes, they faced them and they're making it up. Not to mention no one believes them.

Sounds like the exact same thing.

They did, but they never outright admitted their mistakes like this guy did. I'm sure more consumers would be much more forgiving to MS if they would just be front and admit things instead of treating the mass consumers like we're mindless sheep.

Square Enix said they were not sparing any expense to get ARR up and running, and I think they've done the job.

I like this man, I can feel good tidings come out of square-enix (not FFXIII-3), Tetsuya Nomura and take his time.

I play AAR, and I love it.

I want a sweet online RPG for Vita. Something with a little less hunting and a little more of an MMO feel. Ragnarok Odyssey is nice, but it doesn't scratch that particular itch for me.
araman  +   756d ago
ARR is coming to PS4, which will allow you to play it remotely on Vita :D

I really hope this goes f2p.. I cant see myself spending money monthly to play a game no matter how great it is.. I really want this on PS4 though.. Maybe since it comes with the 30 days free for new players, ill pick it up.. I can pay for about 3months worth & then let it go.. After DCUO went f2p, i bet a lot of ppl were pissed off that payed all those monthly bills for it.. I just hope this follows suit sooner rather than later.. I really REALLY want to get this game

"We are the first MMORPG in the industry to ever take a game that failed once and to rebuild it."

I guess Ragnarok Online 2: Gate of the World being shutdown and remade into Ragnarok Online 2: Legacy of the Second, doesn't count?
