Killzone: Mercenary Review | PSi

PSi - "When I finished Killzone: Mercenary, I realized something: on its own, it's a predictable, bog standard shooter." (Killzone Mercenary, PS Vita) 80/100

Intelligent, simple and well-written. Great review.

i give it a 10 comparing it to all the other killzones (And a lot of console fps). its graphics, its gameplay (omg), story (typical killzone), online (wow). and the fact that its only $35 digital download and $40 new hard copy, all the greatness you can take where ever you want on a handheld. i take my hat off to gurilla cambridge.

Really? A 10, compared to KZ3? What are you smoking?

... with Killzone 3 being generally regarded as the worst in the series(though not saying it's bad), if this one is on par with Killzone 2, then a 10 isn't an unwarranted score.

What, pray tell, are YOU smoking?

Please EVERYONE, do yourself a big favor and check up on the KZ2 and KZ3 trophies for the PSN user "spotiexrk" (Hicken's PSN account).

You'll quickly notice that "spotiexrk" Hicken has played through less than half of both KZ2 and KZ3 (never completing either game) and NONE of KZ Mercenary, but apparently that gives him the authority to tell me which KZ I should regard as the better game.

Pro tip: Anyone who thinks KZ3 is the worst in the series is either brain dead or hasn't ever played KZ Liberation or revisited the first KZ lately. Spoiler alert, KZ didn't age well.

So please "spotiexrk" tell me again about how a "10" isn't an unwaranted score based on your extensive experience with the KZ series, especially with the games you've never even finished....or played.

Gotta try harder. Your own words can be used against you; your stance is hypocritical. LOLZ!

@Godlovesgamers dear God, will you grow up. Hicken cannot tell you what KZ to enjoy and you have no right to judge his opinion based on how much or little he's played of the series. And no I won't check out his PSN, I obviously don't have your limitless time for chest thumping over an FPS on the internet.

Lol, Hicken caught in a hypocrisy jam? Why am I not surprised?
Godlovesgamers  +   213d ago
@Projekt

Why don't you grow the hell up and stay out of other people's affairs. I have the right to stand up for myself in an argument, an argument which really doesn't concern you, so stay out of it... unless of course "Projekt" is just another one of "Hicken's" accounts here on N4G, which would really seem obvious by your vehement defense of this blatant hypocrite.

In either case, get a life.

Killzone: Mercenary > Killzone 2 > Killzone > Killzone 3 > Killzone: Liberation.

lol Perfect.

I disagreed to me Killzone 2=Killzone Mercenary > Killzone3 > Killzone Liberation > Killzone

Definitely better than Killzone 2. I didn't really play 2's multiplayer, so I'm just talking about the single player. Definitely a fan of and interested more in Killzone now because of Mercenary. I think KZ is moving in the right direction and I think I'm going to have to pre order Shadowfall with my PS4 cause I chose Watchdogs instead :(.
PoSTedUP  +   214d ago
its better than kz2 mp. more solid, better controls, no bullet lag bs. jus more enjoyable. and i was a big fan of KZ. kz2 dlc maps for mercs woud be theeee perfect online fps.

Ive heard from multiple different people that Mercenary is the best Killzone they've ever played...and Killzone 2 was awesome!
