Why have are artificially intelligent friends left us? Will they ever return?
and I want split screen with bots...thats one reason i didnt buy Unreal tournament ...how do they have bots but no split screen
I agree. If only UT3 or CoD4 had bots with splitscreen...
+Resistance didn't have any Bots :-(
Didn't get UT3 because of No 4 player splitscreen off-line mode :-(
Hope HaZe has Bots????
TimeSplitters was funny with them&3mates! :-P
Haze has been confirmed to have bots :D
Bots kick ass. I remember playing the original unreal and UT with bots all the time(I had the good ol 56k). Olny problem with bots is that if you make em really hard then they are cheap as poop.
@ OP it's spelled our not are
Unreal tournament is originally a PC game, that's why it doesn't have split screen. Although I do agree that the console version should have split screen as it sucks not being able to play with 2-4 players on the same console.
wow, i can't believe i screwed that up. i almost never make that kind of mistake. thanks for pointing it out.
i wanted bots for COD4
I dont know, I prefer live opponents. Its something about bots which I dont like. This probably stemmed from my experience with bots from the original Counter strike. It's either they are very good or very bad. At times, the bot can headshot me with a shotgun from the other side of the map easily at the very first second it see's me. And bot's really cannot simulate ummm...carelessness? not sure the correct word to describe.. but lets say in COD4.. sometimes some players can spot a sniper hiding in grass or somewhere obscure, but sometimes people miss and not see them. Bots almost always can spot a live player hiding.
i just have fond memories of playing Killzone offline with 7 bots against me on Hard level... think of it as training. It made me a great Killzone player online, then people started glitching and cooking grenades.... then it went all downhill from there
But lots of games with split screen do not 4 player split screen online and thats the problem...so thats why i want bots
God these peepoles our horrible at splling. Seriously though, lets go back to at least 3rd grade English ok?
He did spell "Are" correct. This was more of a grammatical error. All sarcasm intended.
I appreciate your pointing out the mistake, but there's no need to be rude about it. It's an honest mistake. It simply slipped my mind when I was writing it.
Bring back the bots. Free Radical know this. Just as some have been calling for damage in GT since part 2, so have I been calling for bots in Halo to deaf ears. And 4 player splitscreen. 4 humans, 10 bots, a few play modes, endless gameplay.
Throw in some xbots, but they probably gave bad AI XD.
Don't worry, the BOTS will be EXCLUDED from tons of AAA PS3 goodness for the next 7-8 years.
... it's a nice way to bring friends into a 3d shooter, and just go together against a huge bunch of bots.
Me and my friend, whenever he comes over (few times a year) had a good time with Timsplitters FP, just forming a 2-guy team and going up against a selection of bots. When it became to easy, we would just trhow some more, or some more difficult, bots in there, and just have a great time.
I think they're just very very handy to really train yourself a bit before going up against humans online, and sometimes you dont even wanna go online but just practice a bit...
I still keep their profiles on my PS2...Bots are cool!
Every game needs bots to add for multiplayer. I just hate it in racing games and shooters where you can play against bots alone but when it comes to multi it's people only. Wipeout Pure would be about 10 times better if me and my couple friends who have it could race with bots too.
I noticed it first with area 51 for PS2. I never played the split screen mode on that game more than once when we realised it didn't have bots. I got Resistance and Motorstorm with my PS3, thinking, oh good I'll have a shooter and a racer to play with friends, alas, one had no bots and the other had no split-screen whatsoever. I would have thought by now that the AI for bots would have improved considerably. Maybe it's because reviewers don't factor split-screen modes into their scores, and game companies are just interested in getting high scores to boost their sales. Game scores are the most looked at to consider a purchase, far more so than book or movie reviews, so I've heard.
are great when they are better than the people you play against
was the original perfect dark. You could change the dificulty of each bot and give them personalities. like One would be scared and run away or the one that would hunt down the last person who killed it.
