Diablo 3 Review | Press Start Australia

Tyla at Press Start Australia writes: "The console version of Diablo 3 has been in development for a considerable amount of time since the PC version was released. It is clear to me that this is the way that Blizzard wanted the game to be played on the home console. I was extremely addicted over the past week and couldn’t put the game down. Playing with friends was an amazing time and really let the game shine. Diablo 3 is most praised for its streamline nature of content, the addictive combat, loot in abundance and pretty spells. The game had very few bugs and I look forward to hearing news about the upcoming possible expansion Diablo 3. Taking all of this into account I could comfortably recommend this to any PS3 or 360 owner." (Diablo III, PS3, Xbox 360) 4/5

I beat the game all the way through Inferno with a Wizard on PC. I don't know what it is about playing it with a controller, but it's damn fun! More so than the PC version in my opinion. Especially the local multiplayer. Some people have problems with the inventory screens during multiplayer, because when one person needs to swap out equipment or abilities everyone has to wait. But after an hour or so in the game I manage to take only a few seconds switching out stuff. Overall, it's a great game with very little given up graphically. I notice that because of the PS3/Xbox's video capabilities are significantly less than those of my PC. But the game looks great, and it runs great with fast load times and most importantly, it's fun!

The controls really shine in this game. I was really worried about how It would handle, but its great. The load times are almost non-existent after the initial Load game. My girlfriend and i are having a freaking blast! If you haven't played D1 or 2, don't worry. If you like playing borderlands with a buddy, this will almost surely satisfy, as long as you are okay with top down views. That might bother some.

I didn't get D3 on PC... But, I played D2/LOD my entire 4 years in high school. I graduated in 2002.

Never played Diablo on original PS... But, I'll tell you this... Diablo III works on console.. I have the PS3 version, but I'm sure it's just as tight on Xbox..

You can seamlessly drop in and out if you don't wanna play with other people. It flows real well.. I've heard of the complaints on the PC version.. But, nothing in the console version screams horrible game...

Its different than D2 that's a fact, but I still feel the connection to the game, like I did when I was 17 doing Baal runs.
