Droidscape: Basilica is a beautiful and innovative puzzler with wonderful clay-modeled stop-motion graphics and a haunting atmospheric soundtrack. At just £1.49 for over 60 levels and more in development as you read, Droidscape: Basilica is well worth the price of admission. Things might get a little fiddly on smaller iThings but crack out an iPad and this will keep you happily puzzling away for hours.
The Indie Mine reviews Droidscape: Basilica, an iOS puzzle game from Kyttaro Games that's almost like two games in one.
Overall there’s a lot on offer in Droidscape: Basilica, from a new style of player input with Kyttaro Games’ HeadTwister technology, as well as a standout animation style and some interesting cutscenes. The historical, fictional depth of the universe behind the game is quite impressive, and would warrant further exploration in future games.
"BeefJack reached out to Kyttaro Games on the challenges of exploring head tracking as an experimental method of control, and the extensive work of using stop-motion animation to help define their first iOS game. It was a heavy load, we learned - one that resulted in some sacrifices."
