Disney Planes review | Nintendo Insider

Nintendo Insider writes:

That it fell to DisneyToon Studios to deliver this aerial accompaniment to Lightning McQueen’s escapades across Pixar’s Cars universe, is perhaps an indication as to where our expectation naturally fell. Disney’s Planes Review (Wii U - Nintendo-Okie)

"I remember being pretty impressed with Disney’s Cars 2 for the Wii when it came out. It turned out to be better than the average licensed game and was a pretty solid alternative to Mario Kart for people looking for another kart racing style of game. Based on that I had similar hopes for Disney’s Planes.

What You Need to Know

Disney’s Planes is a game based on the movie of the same name. It features characters with names like Ishtara, El Chupacabra and Dusty Crophopper. You’ll take the planes on missions where you rescue farm equipment from rogue tornadoes, race against other planes through windmill farms and bridges or restore color to the world by shooting things with paint guns. There are multiple modes and stories for a number of the characters from the film franchise.", writes Nintendo-Okie.

Disney Planes Review - GamesReviews

From GamesReviews:
"There’s a lot of mixed voices about Disney’s Planes, the spin-off from Pixar’s 2006 hit Cars. Whether disappointed with the quality of the actual film itself (Planes currently “boasts” a 39 on Metacritic, with a user score lower than that) or if you’ve got wrapped up in some of the other minor controversies that have come out over the past few months, it’s unlikely you’re in a rush to go out and by merchandise or games based on the IP."
