Haze Exclusive Demo Coming To PS Network

Ubisoft today announced the imminent release of a fully playable demo for Haze, the new first-person shooter set in a harsh future where war is never quite what it seems. Coming exclusively to the PLAYSTATION Network in early May, this playable demo will give gamers a taste of not only the single-player campaign in Haze, but will also allow up to four-player, drop-in drop-out co-op play online.

Sweet indeed Billy G. This should be really good. Am looking forward to both the campaign and co-op modes. Should be good.

sonarus3567d ago

WOOOOHOOO. Don't know why i am excited. They would have been foolish not to release a demo. However this isn't the first time we have been promised a demo for haze.

Thought the demo was a lost cause (with all the delays and all) but I'm so happy now xD.

Palodios3567d ago (Edited 3567d ago )

It'll be good to have the chance to try it out, sure, but, if you have 7 months of delays which have killed a lot of the interest and hype in the game, don't you think you should focus on getting the actual game out before you bother with demos? Being wedged between GTA and MGS certainly won't help. I bought a ps3 for Free Radical, and I feel a bit let down considering that I'll be a day one purchase and they are catering to the people who are on the fence.

Just wondering...How would you guys feel about a Duke Nukem Forever demo?

CrazyMystical3567d ago

my interest for this game has shrunk since I've first seen it.

Storm233567d ago

Cool. Excited to try it out.

fusionboxer3566d ago

I call bullshit on this one until we actually see it. As much as i'm excited for Haze and talking it up to all my friends I still don't want to believe this to ultimately be let down.

If true it'll be great to experience some of the no loading, streaming level design plus 4 player co op and 2 player local online co op sooner then the slated release date.

Was going to pre-order, but I think ill try it first!

Doppy3567d ago

Agreed. I wanted to buy this but with all the delays I wasn't too sure if it was going to be any good. Now I get to try before I buy.

Time_Is_On_My_Side3566d ago

lol, that makes no sense when a game is delayed it helps, not hinders. There is rumours of Grand Theft Auto IV of being delayed like last time. The delay won't hurt the game but only make it better since they have more time. It's like you have an essay due next week then all of a sudden get an extension. It's the same thing here they kept getting extensions so they have more time to work on making it better.

This also happened with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots let me guess you think an extension of this game will hinder it too?

Doppy3564d ago

What I meant was that, the game has slipped off my radar. When I first heard about it I was stoked for it, but now I have UT3, COD4, WarHawk, and Resistance for my shooters. Plus I have Resistance 2 Killzone 2, and COD5 to look forward to. Haze needs this demo to be good or it won't sell, unless people pick it up over the July - August drought.

I just don't want it to become another Too HUman or Duke Nukem (10 years of development).

Try it, then buy it!!(If you choose)

BeaArthur3567d ago

Finally something to get me interested in this one again. I would prefer a multiplayer demo, but this is better than nothing I guess.

Meus Renaissance3567d ago

I hope this game is great but haven't been impressed from what I've seen yet. I hope this isnt another Turok demo.

TriggerHappy3567d ago

Even though you made a fair comment, I expect to see a ton of disagrees if this makes it to the FP.

Meus Renaissance3567d ago (Edited 3567d ago )

Yeah there are people who will automatically disagree with you if what you say isn't licking the rear of anything PS3 related. I'm a PS3 owner but I'll be just as vocal about something I don't like as any man beside me, and just as vocal about something I like.

And that Turok game was a joke. I was laughing playing the demo, it was awful.

fenderputty3567d ago (Edited 3567d ago )

I've never been interested in this game. I don't know why, I really just don't care all that much about it. The delays didn't help an already uninterested position either. A demo might change my mind though. A couple good reviews couldn't hurt either. I was interested in the story more then anything else since, I think EGM, said the game dared to treat us like adults.

Who knows ...

Edit: I also agree about the "licking the ass of Sony" part. I may be a PS3 fan and owner but, that doesn't mean I'm a blind fool. I can make my own judgments.

INehalemEXI3567d ago

Turok was a joke. I don't see how haze is similar though. It could suck but it would be hard to fail that hard.

fenderputty3567d ago

Sold well. Gotta love advertising.

juuken3566d ago

I miss the old Turok on the N64. That was a really good game. I don't even know what these guys did to this game. Thankfully I never laid hands on it.

Time_Is_On_My_Side3566d ago (Edited 3566d ago )

The Turok demo to me wasn't amazing but it wasn't broken. If a game isn't broken it can't be all that bad. The dinosaurs gave it an edge but I consider it an average game. It can be fun seeing your friends being ripped apart by a dinosaur.

I think the only reason they have this is because a lot of people might be sceptical. So this can increase the number of sales for the game if a free demo is released.
